How To Mirror Your Screen in Windows 10 With Smart TV

There are few easy ways to connect your laptop or PC to a TV If you own a Smart TV, chances are you’ll be able to connect your Windows 10 PC with the click of a button.

1. Connect to a compatible Smart TV
Simply go into the display settings of your computer or laptop and click “Connect to a wireless display.” Select your smart TV from the device list and your PC screen may instantly mirror on the TV. 

With Smart TVs, there may be one issue. The connection between your PC and the TV may be dependent on a reliable high-speed Internet connection, or Wi-Fi.

2. Chromecast Screen Casting
 Your Chromecast makes it easy to mirror your computer right on your television at any time. You can always Chromecast from your computer if you have Google’s smart dongles connected at the back of your TV. It also works on Chromebooks as well.

Tools you need Your Computer with the Chrome Browser Installed Your Chromecast.

Steps to Chromecast Screen Casting
Step 1. Open Google Chrome.

Step 2. Select Menu in the top-right corner then selects Cast.

Step 3. From the Cast box, select Sources then Cast Desktop.

Step 4. Select your Chromecast from the list.

Step 5. You'll be asked what you'd like to share. Your Entire Screen is selected by default. Make sure Share audio is checked, then select Share.

Step 6. A blue Casting icon will appear on your Chrome toolbar to indicate you are casting

To Stop Casting
Select the Cast icon from Chrome’s menu.
Select ‘Stop’ to stop casting.

3. Miracast in Windows 10
Let’s talk about an independent and dedicated Miracast option available with Windows 10.
How to check if Miracast is supported on your device.

Press ‘Win+R’ on your keyboard and then type in ‘dxdiag’ and hit Enter.
Press the ‘Save All Information’ button located at the bottom and save the text file at the desired location.

Now open the text file and look for ‘Miracast’ and next to it will be the current availability status.

Set up & use Miracast on Windows 10

Step 1: If your TV comes with built-in Miracast support, then turn it On. Else connect the external adapter into the HDMI port of your television and power it on.

Step 2: Now on your Windows PC, navigate to Start -> Settings -> Devices -> Connected Devices.

Step 3: Click on ‘Add a Device’ and wait for the adapter to appear on the list. Click on the receiving adapter and that’s all. You have set up the wireless display.

You can now configure both the displays by pressing ‘Windows+P’ and selecting a relevant option If that does not work for you, repeat the steps again and check.
